2 lbs italian sausage, casings removed
1 diced onion
3-4 garlic cloves
1 - 28 oz can diced tomatoes (796 ml)
1 - 15 oz cans tomato sauce (13.5 ml)
2 - 6 oz cans tomato paste
2 cups water
2 tsp basil
2 tsp parsley
1 1/2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes - I used 1 tsp
1/4 tsp pepper - I used 1/2 tsp
1 1/4 cups red wine (optional)

Brown sausage,drain
Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1-2 hours
