2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup milk.

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 450º. In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture looks like fine crumbs. Stir in milk.

Drop by tablespoons full onto greased or parchment paper-line pan.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately removed from cookie sheet to wire rack. Serve warm.

These are excellent biscuits to crumble in a bowl under a heaping serving of strawberries with sugar. Top with milk. Heaven!
