2 cups cooked chickpeas (cook raw chickpeas in slow cooker...cover with lots of water and sprinkle of salt -- on high for 3 hours or low for 6) OR use 1-19oz can rinsed and drained
1/3 cup tahini paste
1 garlic clove
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 Tbsp canola oil (optional)
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup water
1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce

1. Place chickpeas in blender and pulse/puree until creamy and smooth, add more water if needed.

Make extra chickpeas and keep in freezer in 2 cup portions for quick access!
