Ingredients: 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened 1 cup flour 1/3 cup finely minced pecans

Directions: |
Directions:Mix in a bowl until it resembles cookie dough. Spread in bottom of a 9X 13 glass baking casserole. Bake at 350º. for about 20 minutes, or until lightly browned. It will appear under-done, but will continuer cooking as it cools and will firm up . Cool completely, about one hour. |

Ingredients: 8 Oz pkg cream cheese, cosseted at room temperature (can use reduced fat type) 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup whipped topping or home-made whipped cream ( you will need another cup for topping)

Directions:Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar together until well blended. Add 1 cup whipped topping and mix together.
Spread over the cooled crust. |

Ingredients: 2 pkgs of instant butterscotch pudding (3.9 oz size) 3 cups whole milk

Directions:Mix the pudding and milk until slightly thickened, (about three minutes) Carefully spread this over the. cream cheese layer. |

Ingredients: 1 to 2 cups of whipped topping or cream. Additional chopped pecans for garnish (optional) grated chocolate or Heath bits for garnish (optional)

Directions:Spread the topping over top of dessert. Cove with plastic wrap and refrigerate-- lest if done 24 hours advance. Before serving garnish the top with chocolate and/or nuts. Cut into squares. |

Notes: There are several variations to this delicious dessert. Substitute chocolate pudding. or vanilla with some sliced strawberries on top the second layer, or banana pudding with thinly sliced bananas , or lemon pudding ( use juice of one lemon to the cream cheese layer and grate lemon peal over topping). You can substitute crushed cookies for the flour in the crust, even use crushed Oreo cookies. Have fun changing it around. It is always mouth-watering.
