pastry for one crust pie
3 eggs
½ c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
⅛ tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ c. melted butter
1 c. pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs.
Add sugar, corn syrup, salt, vanilla and butter. Mix well
Place pastry in pan and crimp edges.
Line crust with pecans in a single layer. There should be enough pecans to go up the sides so when the filling in added the entire top is covered in pecans.
Pour egg mixture over nuts (they will float to the top).
Bake in preheated 350º oven for about 40 minutes or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean and the crust is golden.
