20 ounce pineapple slices in juice
1/4 cup butter, melted
2/3 cup brown sugar
10 maraschino cherries
18.25 ounce yellow or pineapple cake mix

Directions:
Drain pineapple slices; reserve 3/4 cup juice. Stir together melted oleo and brown sugar in 10 in skillet with heat proof handle. Arrange pineapple slices in sugar mixture. Place cherry in center of each pineapple slice. Prepare cake mix per pkg replacing some of the water with reserved 3/4 cup juice. Pour evenly over pineapple. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes or til toothpick in the center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes more. Loosen the edges and invert onto serving platter.

Can be baked in 13x9 pan instead of skillet. Prepare and assemble cake as above except cut two pineapples in half and place whole slices along edges of pan and halved slices in the center. Place cherries in the center of slices. Bake and cool as above.
