1 large (6 oz.) Strawberry Jell-O
1 1/2 C. boiling water
10 oz. frozen Strawberries (thawed)
1 large (20 oz.) can Crushed Pineapple
2 large Bananas, mashed (or 3 medium)
1 C. Sour Cream
1 C. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Cool.
Stir in all fruits and nuts. Pour half mixture in 9 X 13 dish and refrigerate.
When firm, remove from fridge and gently spread sour cream over entire layer.
Pour remaining fruit and Jell-O mixture over top of sour cream layer.
Refrigerate until congealed completely and serve.

My Mama, Vivian, made delicious congealed salads. She began this one in late 1960's, and it "stuck" as the Edwards family favorite, and has continued to be served through the years, especially at family holiday gatherings.
After Jim and I were married, it became his favorite too, and he had a big smile and an "Oh, Boy!"
any time he walked into the kitchen and saw that I was making it.
