Brownie Mixture:
4 oz. German Sweet Chocolate
3 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
¾ c. sugar
½ c. flour
½ tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. almond extract
½ c. nuts, chopped

Cream Cheese mixture:
2 tbsp. butter
½ package (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
¼ c.sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. flour

Brownie Mixture:
Melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring. Cool. Beat eggs until light. Add sugar and beat until thickened. Fold in dry ingredients. Blend in flavorings, chocolate and nuts. Reserve 1 cup chocolate batter for the "topping". Spread all but 1 cup batter into greased 9" square pan.

Cream Cheese Mixture: Cream butter and cream cheese together. Mix in sugar and beat until light. Stir in egg, flour, vanilla. Spread on top of the brownie mixture in the square pan. Drop spoonfuls of reserved chocolate mixture on top of the cream cheese. Swirl brownies lightly with a knife to marble. Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes (less for a dark pan).

Cool and refrigerate leftovers.
