"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
Chop peppers and onions fine, and shred cucumbers. Place in large bowl. Sprinkle on salt. Let stand overnight. Drain off liquid in a.m. Put veggies in pot. Pour on 2 cups vinegar. In separate pot boil sugar, turmeric, mustard seed and celery seed for 4 min. Add to pot with veggies. Blend 1/2 cup flour, 2 tsp sugar & 3/4 cup vinegar to make paste. Add to pot. Continue to cook until clear. Put relish into clean jars (from dishwasher) to 3/4 inch from the top. Boil lids with seals for a couple of minutes in separate pot and remove as needed, drying extremely well before placing into filled jars. Put jars in boiling water in canner (less than 1/2 full) for no more than 10 min. Remove jars from canner and let rest on tea towel and wait for a "pop" sound.
