Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups heavy cream
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Put in a mason jar and cover with muslin cloth or can use a coffee filter; place mason jar ring around it or rubber band.
Set someplace warm in kitchen for 2-3 days. After 2 days check for thickness, if it is ready just put in refrigerator.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Crème fraîche is thicker, has a richer flavor, and is less tangy than sour cream. While sour cream and crème fraîche are both used to add richness and tangy flavor, they really are not the same thing.

If want to make larger batch just put 1 part buttermilk to 2 parts cream.
