1 Cup whole milk
2 tbsp. Cream of tartar
OR 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
OR 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the milk and cream of tartar, vinegar or lemon juice in a 2 cup glass measuring cup.

Let stand at room temperature for 10-15 minutes; the milk should start to curdle.

Stir well before using

Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 1 week.

NOTE: True Buttermilk is what remains after making butter
