3 apples
1 pound cranberries
1 cup celery
3 oranges
grated orange rind (zest)
2 cups sugar
½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
2 packages of strawberry Jello

Directions:
Directions:
1. Grind together apples, cranberries, 1 cup of celery, oranges and the rind of one orange.
2. Add the sugar and the chopped nuts if desired, and stir until well blended.
3. Let set for 2 hours or less.
4. Then: While this is processing, dissolve 2 pkgs. of strawberry Jello in 2 cups hot water.
5. Use 1 cup of juice from the ground up fruit instead of cold water . (Only 3 cups of liquid to the
2 pkg. of Jello.)
6. When the Jello begins to congeal slightly, add the ground fruit!

This is such a good cranberry salad that Grandma Foust made and brought to our pot-lucks, especially at Thanksgiving. This recipe is one she wrote out for me and I used her very words for the directions.
