Ingredients:  
1½ cup sugar
2 egg whites
few grains salt
⅓ cup water
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
½ teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients, except vanilla, in top of double boiler. Place over boiling water in the bottom boiler, being sure water is boiling. Cook for 1 minute stirring constantly, then for 2 more minutes without stirring. Remove from heat. Beat over hot water, with rotary beater or electric mixer at high speed, until mixture forms peaks. Add vanilla and beat for 1 minute longer. Frost cake immediately.
