Cake:
2 3/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 eggs
3 1/4 cup cake flour
1/2 evaporated milk
1/2 cup light rum
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Syrup:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup rum

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour Bundt pan.
Beat sugar, vanilla, butter and eggs in large bowl on low speed.
Beat in remaining ingredients except rum syrup.
Bake for about 1 hour to 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Cool for 10 minutes; invert pan.
Spoon rum syrup over warm cake.

Syrup:
Heat sugar and water in saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thin syrup forms, about 6 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in 1/4 cup light rum.
