Jello Poke Cake Recipe

1 box super moist white cake mix
Ingredients to make cake according to package directions
2 small boxes Jello© any flavor (if making a layer cake you can use 2 different flavors - one per layer)
2 c. boiling water
1 8 oz. container Cool Whip©

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare and bake cake as directed on the package.
Cool 10 minutes.
Remove from pans and cool completely.
Place cake(s) back in clean pan(s).
Prick cake with utility fork or bamboo skewer at ½ inch intervals.
Pour boiling water over Jello© stir to dissolve. (if making two layers using two flavors use one c. boiling water per flavor)
Pour jello evenly over cake layer (while still in the pan).
Refrigerate 3-4 hours.
Dip bottom of pan in warm water for approximately 10 seconds.
Invert pan onto cake plate gently shaking to loosen.
Remove pan.
Spread cake with thawed Cool Whip©.
Refrigerate until serving time.
