3 c dry red wine (cab or merlot work best - made w Pinot Noir and it wasn't dry enough)
4 small sprigs of thyme
2 bay leaves
1 small onion
4 cloves garlic
3 Tbsp olive oil
2 lb flank steak
Salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Throw everything together except salt and pepper in a shallow baking dish or ziplock bag. Marinate for min 4 hrs or overnight in fridge. Heat the grill to pretty hot (around 500 deg). Remove flank steak from marinade and season both sides with salt and pepper. Grill for about 6 min on each side. Let sit 5-10 min to rest and then slice diagonally across the grain.
