Ingredients: 1-3 oz. pkg. Lemon gelatin 2 cups boiling water, divided 2 cups ice cubes, divided 1-3 pkg. Orange gelatin 1-20 can crushed pineapple, liquid set aside 2 cups miniature marshmallows 3 large bananas ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded 1 egg, beaten 2 T. cornstarch 1 T. butter 1 cup whipped topping

Directions:DIRECTIONS FOR FILLING: In a 13x9 inch baking pan, combine 1 cup of the boiling water and lemon gelatin. Add 1 cup ice cubes, stirring until melted. Add pineapple and mix well. Cover and refrigerate until set. In medium mixing bowl, combine orange gelatin and 1 cup of the boiling water. Add 1 cup ice cubes and mix well. Stir in marshmallows. Pour over lemon layer, cover and refrigerate until set. DIRECTIONS FOR DRESSING: In a small saucepan, mix cornstarch with pineapple juice. Add sugar, beaten egg and butter. Cook over med-high heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Cover and refrigerate overnight. The next day, slice bananas and arrange over gelatin. Combine dressing with whipped topping: spread over bananas. Sprinkle with cheese. Makes 12 to 16 servings. *Start the day before ready to serve* |
