Ingredients: 1 15 oz. can black beans 1 15 oz. can pork & beans 1 15 oz. can kidney beans 1 15 oz. can great northern beans 1 15 oz. can lima beans ½ lb. bacon cut into small pieces ½ to 1 lb. hamburger 1 large onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic chopped ¾ c. brown sugar, packed ½ c. ketchup ½ c. vinegar ¼ c. molasses 1 tsp. dry mustard

Directions:Preheat oven to 350 º,. Spray 2-3 quart baking dish with Pam© and set aside. Drain liquid from all beans and place in large bowl.. Over medium heat, cook hamburger til browned, breaking into small pieces. Drain grease, and add hamburger to beans in bowl. Cook and stir bacon, onion and garlic until bacon is browned, about 10 minutes. Pour off excess fat. Whisk brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, molasses, and mustard into bacon mixture. Simmer about 5-8 minutes. Pour mixture over beans and hamburger. Stir gently to combine, and pour into prepared baking dish. Bake until bubbling, about 1 hour 15 minutes. |

Notes: For lovers of baked beans, this is a great recipe, and the meats make it hearty (manly!). You can vary the kinds of beans according to taste, these are just some that I like. The different kinds and colors make a more interesting appearance and taste. This is not a dish that I make often because of its high sugar content, but it's great for summer picnics and pot lucks. Blenda Long -I don't drain the pork and beans. If you need to stretch this for a crowd add more pork and beans.
