2 tbsp. butter
(1) 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
2-1/4 cups sugar
1 tbsp. corn starch
3 eggs
2 tbsp., plus 1-1/3 cups milk
1/2 cup butter (room temp.)
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups pre-sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 envelopes (4 oz.) Nestle's Choco-bake

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Cream 2 tbsp. butter with cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, and corn starch.
Add 1 egg, 2 tbsp. milk and 1/2 tsp. vanilla; beat until smooth.
Grease and flour pan. Place in bowl flour, 2 cups sugar, salt, baking powder, soda, 1/2 cup butter, and 1 cup milk.
Blend, beat 1-1/2 minutes, low speed.
Add 1/3 cup milk, 2 eggs, Choco-bake, and 1 tsp. vanilla; beat 1-1/2 minutes.
Spread half of the batter in pan. Spoon cheese mixture over batter; spread to cover.
Top with remaining batter.
Bake at 350º for 50 minutes.
Cool; top with frosting.
