MEAT -
Lamb leg or chops - 2 lbs
Salt - 1.5 tsp.
Mirchi/Cayenne pepper - 1.5 tsp.
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp.
Black Pepper - 3/4 tsp.
Lemon Juice - 1.5 tsp.
Oil - 3 tbsp.

Vegetables -
Onions - 4 medium cut into thick round slices
Beans - 3/4 lb - cut into 2" pieces
Tomatoes - 1 lb cut into thick slices
Potatoes - 2 russet peeled and cut into thick slices

Directions:

Marinade all the meat ingredients and line it up in a deep pot.
Marinade each vegetable separately with -
Salt - .5 tsp.
Black Pepper - .25 tsp.
Lemon Juice - .25 tsp.
Garlic pdr- .25 tsp.
Oil - 2 tbsp.

Layer the vegetables on top of the meat in the order of onions, beans, tomatoes and potatoes.
Put foil on and then the lid.
Cook on high heat for 20 min. and then on medium heat for 15, take off the lid and the foil and then cook on high heat till the water evaporates and the meat is tender.

The meat is supposed to have a little char on it.

My mom always made this on special occasions and it was also always the first dish that she served to all her three son in laws, who knew from that moment that they had to be a part of this family :-)
