½c. boiling water
1c. raisins
1 egg, beaten
1c lightly packed brown sugar
1c. buttermilk
1c, whole wheat flour
1c. rolled oats
1c. high fibre bran cereal
¼c. wheat germ
1½tsp. baking soda
½tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over raisins; allow to cool. Stir in egg, sugar and buttermilk.
In medium bowl, combine flour, oats, cereal, wheat germ, baking soda, and salt. Stir in egg mixture until thoroughly combined. Pour into lightly greased loaf pan. Bake in 350ºF oven for about 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Allow to cool before removing from pan.
