1 pouch onion soup mix
5 lb roast
1 tsp thyme
5 tsp garlic powder
pinch of sugar
5 carrots peeled and quartered
6 small potatoes peeled
1/4 c red wine or apple juice

Directions:
Directions:
Place large piece of aluminum foil in shallow baking pan. Centre the roast on the foil and rub with onion soup mix. Place vegetables around roast and add seasonings. Pour the wine or juice over the roast.
Cover with foil and seal around edges to make a completely enclosed package.
Bake at 350º for approximately2 1/2 hrs.
Reduce cooking time if roast has bone.
