1 Duncan Hines© Butter cake mix
2 c. sugar
2 c. sour cream
2 9 oz. frozen coconut
1½ c. Cool Whip©, thawed

Directions:
Directions:
Bake cake according to directions in 2 layers. When cool, split each layer in half.
Combine sugar, sour cream and coconut. Chill.
Reserve 1 cup of the sugar, sour cream, coconut mixture for frosting. Spread remainder between each layer of cake. (It will be "runny", but cake will absorb it!)
Combine the 1 cup of sour cream mixture with the Cool Whip©, blending until smooth. Spread on top and sides of cake. Store in an air-tight container in refrigerator for 3 days before slicing.
