1½ cups dark chocolate
1 can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed and drained
4 eggs
½ cup cane sugar
½ tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350ºF and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
Place the chocolate into a small sauce pan and melt on low, stirring constantly until chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Combine the beans and eggs in the blender until smooth. Add the sugar and baking powder and pulse to blend. Pour in the melted chocolate and blend until smooth, scraping down the corners to make sure the chocolate is completely mixed in.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the knife inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean (do not over- bake). Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
Dust with icing sugar or top with favorite icing when cooled.

"This is by far my favorite chocolate cake! I make this for every birthday and usually top it with a cream cheese peanut butter frosting - but any frosting or no frosting works too! If you make cupcakes just make sure you reduce the cooking time by half."
