2 MEDIUM ONION, CHOPPED
1 12 - 2 LBS. GROUND BEEF
1 1/2 TSP. SALT
1/2 TSP. PEPPER OR TO TASTE

1 RECIPE HAMBURGER BUNS (SEE BREAD SECTION)

MIX CABBAGE, ONIONS GROUND BEEF, SALT AND PEPPER IN LARGE KETTLE OR DUTCH OVEN. STEAM OVER LOW HEAT UNTIL GROUND BEEF IS COOKED. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND COOL WHILE PREPARING BREAD DOUGH.
WHEN BREAD HAS RISEN, TURN OUT ONTO LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD. CUT INTO 24 PIECES. WITH ROLLING PIN, ROLL INTO CIRCLES. AS CIRCLES ARE FORMED, FILLING WITH ABOUT 2 TBSP. FILLING. BRING EDGES TOGETHER AND PINCH TO SEAL. (SHOULD LOOK LIKE A SMALL BASEBALL). REPEAT WITH REMAINING DOUGH.
PREHEAT OVEN OT 350º. PLACE BALLS ONTO GREASED COOKIE SHEETS. LET REST 10 MINUTES. BAKE FOR 30 MINUTES. SERVE HOT.
