5-6 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt

Yeast:
1/2 cup very warm tap water
2 packages yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar

Wet Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups milk
1 tablespoon Crisco

In very large mixing bowl:
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons. sugar
2 teaspoons salt
Whisk together

In a small glass measuring cup mix:
1/2 cup very warm water, add 2 packages yeast then
1/2 teaspoon sugar; look for bubbling (yeast beginning to bloom)

In 2-3 cup glass measuring cup:
Measure 2 1/4 cups milk, add 1 tablespoon Crisco shortening (will float on top).
Microwave just shy of 2 min (milk should be warmed, but not hot, Crisco should start to melt).
Add to flour mixture, stirring until mixed, add yeast, gently stirring not beating.

Turn dough out onto a lightly-floured surface. Knead in remaining flour until dough is smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes total.
Shape the dough into a ball and place in a lightly greased bowl. Turn once to coat dough with oil. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled.
Punch dough down. Turn out onto lightly-floured surface and divide in half.
Cover; let rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, grease baking sheets or muffin cups.
Shape the dough into desired rolls and place on prepped pans.
Cover and let rise until doubled.
Bake at 375° for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from pans and cool on wire racks.
