1 cup milk, scalded
1 pkg. Dry yeast
2 T. sugar
1/4 cup warm water
2 T. shortening
1 Egg, beaten
1 t. salt
2-1/2 - 4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Melt sugar, shortening & salt in scalded milk & cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water & add to other mixture. Add egg & mix well. Add flour by thirds, beating well after each. Beat 25 extra times & cover. Let rise to double in size, dough will be soft. Turn out on floured board, cut in half & let set for 10 minutes. Roll out & make desired rolls. Place in greased pans, cover & let rise 15-20 minutes. Bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes.
