1 onion, sliced
2 Tbsp. bacon drippings or oil
3 medium apples, peeled, cored & sliced
2 large potatoes, grated (I sometimes slice the potatoes into chunks)
1 (27 ounce) can sauerkraut
1 cup chicken broth
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 pounds pork chops
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. caraway seeds - optional

Directions:
Directions:
Brown pork chops in skillet, set aside.

Drain sauerfraut - Cook onion in bacon drippings or oil until tender. Add sauerkraut, apples, potato, broth, brown sugars, salt & caraway seed (optional). Mix well cover and cook 15-20 minutes. Add more broth if needed. Sprinkle with more brown sugar, if desired.

Put sauerkraut mixture on top of pork chops and bake covered in oven @ 350 for 15 minutes
