1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup softened butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas, about 2 bananas
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup chocolate chips, semi-sweet
1/4 cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a 9 x 5-in loaf pan with a strip of parchment paper, letting it hang over both sides. Butter the other two sides.

In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powde, and baking soda. Set aside.

In another bowl, cream the butter with the brown sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat until smooth.

On low speed, add the bananas. Then add the flour alternating with the milk. Mix in chocolate chips with a spatula. Pour into prepared pan and top with chopped peanuts.

Bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean but slightly topped with melted chocolate. Let cool for at least 1 our and unmould. Serve warm or cold.
