1 3/4 c whole bran cereal
1 c flour
1/4 c cornmeal
1/2 c sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/2 c molasses
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first six ingredients together. Add next four. Beat until just blended. (Do not overbeat). Grease a 9X9X2" pan. Fill with batter and bake at 425ºF for 25 to 30 min. Serve warm.
