Cinnamon Chocolate Sheet Cake

1 cup water
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, combine water, cocoa, butter and shortening. Bring to a boil. Pour chocolate mixture over dry ingredients. Add 1/4 tsp. salt; blend on a low. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Bake at 350º for 20 minutes in a greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch pan or in 11 1/2 x 18 inch pan. Frost while hot.
 

Frosting

3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup milk
3 cups (1 lb.) powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
In a small saucepan, combine butter, cocoa and milk. Bring to a boil. Add sugar; blend well. Stir in vanilla and nuts.Spread on warm cake.

This recipe originated from my best friend in 8th grade! It is quick, easy and delicious.
