3 cups Sifted flour
3 cups Sugar
3 teaspoons Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1½ cups Raisins
2 Eggs, well beaten
2 tablespoon Butter
1¾ cups Buttermilk (If you don't have buttermilk on hand, put: 1 teaspoon vinegar to 1 cup milk)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Stir in raisins. Add remaining ingredients and mix until dry ingredients are moistened. Put into greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1½ hours. Cool for 10 minutes.


Glaze Icing for Bread:

1⅓ cups Sifted powdered sugar
2 tablespoons Milk
¼ teaspoon Vanilla

Mix together and drizzle or spread on bread.
