1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup grapeseed oil
1 t. vanilla
2 cups sweetened apple sauce
1/4 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1/2 t. baking powder
3/4 t. baking soda
8 oz. chopped dates
2 cups raisins
1-2 cups pecans, or other nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs and sugar until light colored. Add the rest of the wet ingredients and mix well. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder and add in thirds to the wet mixture. Stir in the dried fruits and nuts.

Bake in a loaf or bundt pan at 350 F for one hour, or until cake pulls away from the sides.

Recipe can be doubled to make two cakes.

Bananas or any other fruit may substituted for the apples.
