2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
1/4 t. baking soda
2 t. vanilla
3 cups sifted flour
1 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time; beating well after each addition. Mix vanilla into the milk. Sift flour with salt and baking powder. Add alternately with milk to the butter mixture. Pour 2/3 of the batter into an angel cake pan. Mix baking soda into the chocolate syrup and add to the
remainder of the cake batter. Pour into pan; but do NOT stir. Leave it as it is.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour
