Drain juice from pickled beets and add water to make 4 cups
4 cups sugar, or more/less to taste
Heat together and boil. Then add:
4 cups apple cider vinegar

Put hard boiled eggs in bottom of glass container then add beets and juice. Allow to set for a few days to color eggs.
