Directions:In a large mixing bowl mix all ingredients by hand. Shape into 60 1 inch balls. Place in 13x9x2 baking sheet. These can now be fried in a little bit of olive oil, or they can be baked in an oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, or until no longer pink in the center and juice is clear.
In large Dutch oven or skillet with lid, first sauté the mushrooms and minced garlic in butter or margarine. Place in bowl and set aside. In same pan now brown the ground beef. Drain. While draining put tomato paste in the pan add the water and stir over medium heat. Add garlic salt and Italian seasoning. When sauce begins to bubble, lower heat to simmer. Add the hamburger and the mushrooms to the sauce. Simmer 15 minutes. Serve over cooked thin spaghetti noodles. |

Notes: We used jar spaghetti sauce for years. Once Pop found his own recipe for it, we've never bought another jar since. Use it for pizza sauce, lasagna sauce, or just plain marinara sauce.
