Single pie crust--Pilsbury or your own
2 c. sugar
¼ c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 T. corn meal
1 T. flour
½ t. salt
4 eggs, slightly beaten
½ c. milk
½ c. butter, melted
1 t. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Prepare single pie crust and put in glass pie plate.
For filling: in large bowl combine sugar, cocoa powder, cornmeal, flour and salt. In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, butter and vanilla. Stir with whisk egg mixture into sugar mixture until smooth. Stir in pecans. Pour into pastry lined pie plate. Cover crust edges. Bake one hour until filling is set. Can reduce to 325º if crust is too brown. Cool on wire rack and after two hours refrigerate.
