3/4 c. butter flavored shortening
1¼ c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbs. milk
1 tbs. vanilla
1 egg
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1¾ c. flour
1 c. Chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed of mixer until well blended. Beat in egg. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon full of dough 3-inches apart onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies. DO NOT OVERBAKE! After removing from the oven, let them set up on the cookie sheet for about 2 minutes before removing from the pan.
