1 egg slightly beaten
1 c milk
1/2 c margarine melted
1 tbsp. each of grated orange rind and grated lemon rind
1 c bran cereal
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 c granulated sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 3 c granulated sugar
1 tbsp. each orange and lemon juice

Directions:

Combine egg, milk, margarine, orange and lemon rinds and stir in cereal and set aside. Combine flour, 1/2 c sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Add cereal mixture to dry ingredients stirring just until blended. Pour into greased 8 X 4" loaf pan. Bake at 350ºF for 55 to 60 min. Bring 1/3 c sugar, orange and lemon juice to boil in a small saucepan for glaze. Prick loaf with skewer or wooden pick to make holes throughout the loaf. Spoon on glaze. Cool loaf in pan. Remove and slice to serve.
