2 cp. fresh Basil
3 tbsp. pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1/2 cp. Parmesan cheese
1/4 cp. Romano cheese
2/3 cp. Olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Toast the pine nuts in a small skillet in a bit of butter. Cut the Parmesan and Romano into one-inch squares and grate separately in your food processor- measure out. Wash and drain basil- remove stems. Put all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth. Freeze or refrigerate until ready to use.

Dad would put the pesto in a blender instead of a food processor. He would then put it on pasta to serve, either angel hair or thin spaghetti.
