Pumpkin Orange Cheese Pie

Preheat oven to 350º

1/2 pkg pie crust mix
4 pkgs (3 oz each) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp grated orange rind
1 can (1 lb) pumpkin
Dairy sour cream
Glaceed Orange slices
Chopped pistachio nuts

Preheat oven to 425º

Prepare pie crust mix following label directions for a 9" pastry shell with a high fluted edge.

Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer, until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, orange rind and pumpkin until smooth. Pour mixture into prepared pastry shell.

Place in oven; lower temperature to 350º. Bake for 35 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool completely on wire rack. Just before serving, top with sour cream and halved glaceed orange slices; sprinkle with pistachio nuts.

2 T water
4 thin orange slices
Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and water in a small skillet; boil 1 minute. Add thin orange slices; cook over low heat, turning slices several times, until they are almost translucent, about 5 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
