2-3 Tilapia fillets (serves 2-4)/ Filetes de tilapia
Seasoning Tilapia with dry oregano,garlic,chili,paprika powder or any of your favorites but add oregano add some lime or orange juice to marinate.
especias para marinar el pescado oregano,polvo de ajo,paprika,chili, or tus favoritas pero hechale oregano hecha un poco de jugo de limon o naranja para marinar.

1/2 of each finely chopped red & white onion/cebolla blanca y morada bien picada
2 finely chopped tomatoes/ tomates picados
1-2 finely chopped jalapeņo or serrano/ chile picado
1/2 bunch of finely chopped cilantro/cilantro bien picado
1 cucumber peeled and finely chopped/ pepino pelado y picado
lime juice to taste/ jugo de limon al gusto
salt & pepper/sal y pimienta
Diced avocados/ Aguacate picado

Rinse and pat dry fillets then season well with spices on both sides and set aside to marinate. the longer you marinate the better the flavor. In a pan put fillets in low heat with very little water to steam until no longer raw then SET A SIDE UNTIL COOL TO TOUCH saving the juices it cooked in. Once tilapia has cooled down gently shred the fillets and add into the bowl with any remaining juice.

In a bowl mix all the chopped ingredients then add shredded fillet pieces and any juice. Gently add diced avocados mix gently. Taste to add any seasonings if necessary * some add a splash of soy sauce. Serve on tostada shells, with crackers/chips on lettuce leaves or over a mixed green salad.

Enjuaga y seca bien los fillets y sazona deja reposar un rato. Entre mas se marina mejor sabor. En un sarten pon los fillets con muy poca agua a fuego bajo para que los filletes se cosan a vapor. Cuando ya no esten crudos apaga fuego y pon a un lado HASTA QUE SE ENFRIEN BIEN los filletes y reserva el jugo en que se cosieron. En un recipiente agrega todos los ingredientes menos el aguacate y pescado. Prueba para el sabor a tu gusto. Entonces con cuidado agarra los filletes y desmenuza por pedazos y agregalo con el jugo donde se cosinaron. Revuelve con cuidado despues hecha los aguacates y probar. * algunas personas le hechan un chorito de salsa soya para sazonar. Sirve en tostadas, con galletas o chips en hojitas de lechugas o sobre un ensalada

Can add shrimp as well or make it with Salmon instead of Tilapia.


Se le puede agregar camaron cosido o hacerse de Salmon tambien.
