2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 T. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together the flour and sugar. In a saucepan, put butter, cocoa, and water. Bring to a boil, and pour over flour mixture. Mix thoroughly on low speed. Add buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, and vanilla. Mix just until combined. Pour into an ungreased 10 X 15 jelly roll pan or cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 400º.

Icing
1/2 c. butter
6 T. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
4 T. cocoa
3 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. Chopped pecans (optional)
Start preparing icing 5 minutes before cake is done baking. Combine butter, milk and cocoa and bring to a boil. Remove from burner and add powdered sugar. Mix, add vanilla pecans. Ice cake while hot.
