1 & 1/2 lbs fresh broccoli
1/2 small red onion, diced (about 1/3 cup)
1 (2.25 oz) slivered almonds, toasted
4 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
1 (6 oz) pkg mixed dried fruit

Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper

Directions:

Cut off broccoli florets, chop into bite-size pieces.
Peel the stalks and slice them thinly on angle, and rough chop
Add all the other salad ingredients to serving bowl.

Mix all ingredients for dressing, mixing well with a whip to dissolve sugar and salt.

Pour over salad and cover with plastic wrap.
Chill until ready to serve.

Leftovers are good the next day.
