1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
4 T. light corn syrup
1 loaf French bread, cut into 1-1/2 inch slices
5 large eggs
1-1/2 cups half and half
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. Grand Marnier (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Grease bottom and sides of 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Melt butter, brown sugar and corn syrup until sugar is melted. Pour into prepared baking dish. Top sugar with bread slices in a single layer. Beat eggs and remaining ingredients in a bowl. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake at 350ºF, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
