Directions:
Bread Pudding:
Scald milk in a heavy saucepan. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Add cubed bread and melted butter. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and add remaining ingredients. Add this mixture to the bread and milk and mix well. Pour into greased 9" x 13" and bake at 350º for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Serve warm or chilled with brandy sauce.

Brandy Sauce:
In a heavy saucepan, beat the eggs thoroughly. Add sugar, vanilla and melted butter and heat slowly, stirring constantly until mixture begins to thicken. Remove from heat and add brandy and remaining ingredients. Mix well. Place the sauce in an electric blender and blend at high speed for about 1 min or until the sauce has the texture of heavy cream. Serve over bread pudding.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
People seem to either love or hate bread pudding. But I love it, especially warm with brandy sauce! Epi's makes a delicious version with croissants and shaved apples, served with caramel sauce. The original recipe calls for dried and candied fruit, but the basic is my favorite!
