1 c flour
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c milk
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1/4 c butter

1/2 c sugar
1/4 c chopped pecans (optional)
2 c fresh strawberries sliced
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375ºF. Grease 8" square baking dish. In a large bowl combine first six ingredients and in a medium bowl combine next four ingredients. Using a beater for the mixture in the large bowl, beat until blended and pour into baking dish. Blend mixture in other bowl with fingers until crumbly. Spread the crumbly mixture over sliced strawberries which were previously placed on top of batter. Bake until golden and bubbly about 35 min. Serve warm or cold.
