¾ CUP SHORTENING
¾ CUP SUGAR
1 TSP. VANILLA
3 EGGS, SLIGHTLY BEATEN
1 - 3 OZ. PKG. FRUIT FLAVORED GELATIN
¾ TSP. SALT
1 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1 ¾ CUPS FLOUR

SPRAY WAFFLE IRON WITH VEGETABLE SPRAY AND TURN ON TO MEDIUM HEAT.
CREAM SHORTENING AND SUGAR TOGETHER. WITH WHISK, BEAT IN EGGS AND VANILLA. ADD GELATIN, SALT, BAKING POWDER AND FLOUR. STIR MIXTURE WITH WOODEN SPOON UNTIL WELL MIXED. FORM INTO 1" BALLS. PLACE ONE BALL ON EACH SECTION OF WAFFLE IRON AND CLOSE IRON, PRESSING COOKIES FLAT. BAKE FOR 2 MINUTES. DO NOT OVERCOOK. REMOVE COOKIES WITH FORK TO COOLING RACK.
