Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 cup flour
1 large egg
1 T. unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans or 24 halves (see note)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the butter and the cream cheese until smooth. Add the flour and beat until fully combined. Cover the bowl and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 325ºF. Spray 24 cup mini muffin pan with cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, brown sugar, vanilla and salt until smooth. Set aside. Shape the chilled dough into 24 balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Press each ball into a cup of the muffin pan, spreading evenly and up the sides. Then spoon chopped pecans evenly into each cup, about 1 teaspoon each. Fill each cup with egg mixture until evenly distributed. Bake until filling is set, about 25 minutes. Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes and then remove tassies from pan. Cool completely before storage. Note: If using pecan halves instead of chopped pecans, place pecan half on top of egg mixture.

These are easy to make, and a nice substitute for Pecan Pie. They are really good, too!
