Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 quarts popped corn, unbuttered. (I use 3 bags of Orville Reddenbacher© pop corn.)
1 c. butter or margarine
½ c. corn syrup, white or dark
2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. baking. soda
1½ c. peanuts, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
In heavy pan, melt butter or margarine, add syrup, sugar, and salt.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil without stirring five minutes. ( During this process, have a wet, folded paper towel ready and use it to CAREFULLY wipe down sides of pan to remove sugar crystals as they appear.)
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking. soda. Immediately pour over popped corn (plus peanuts if desired) and mix well. (Be careful to keep hands from touching the mixture as the syrup is HOT! I use rubber gloves for protection.)
Turn out into two baking pans, 9"X12" or larger,
Bake at 250º for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Cool, break apart, and store in air-tight containers. (Zip-lock© bags are fine.)
